How to keep socks on

We've been training our stud to mount, but it seems like he always manages to pull one of his socks off just moving around. Does anyone have advice for keeping socks on?

maybe the long heavier kind of socks, along the lines of the ones soccer players wear? is wearing some clothes (heavier t-shirt, cut-through jeans etc.) not an option? i'm assuming you want to use socks to avoid scratching? filling his claws might help a bit too

I wouldn't use tape...

I've been using old cut up pants and sweaters to avoid scruffs and scratches for some time.
Best solution as a regular i found are special "dog socks". They are usually worn under these "dog shoes" and are pretty soft and pleasant
on bare skin.

You might also try the legs of a pair of old sweats. Size them accordingly. When you put them on Doggie-kins, put the elastic UP, and let the legs flap around at the bottom. If he's actually walking on them thats good. Cheap, simple, non-informative or -intuitive( no one's gonna guess) and it works.

Due to walk injuries mine won't sock. Keeping his claws short is fairly easy though.
