How to get my boy interested?

I have a 5 yr old male lab mix who has never been exposed to any kind of sexuality, human or animal.
He's licked me before but doesn't seem to hold interest. I've never tried to touch him but I have a feeling he would be uncomfortable. He hates being hugged, having his feet or tail touched or being held down. He's an incredibly sweet boy He's just Always been timid and shy.

Is there anything that might make him curious or interested?
 
I would first start with making him comfortable with being touched at all.
Build a stronger relationship, forget about the sex and just make sure he likes being touched in general.

It's been 5 years .... we have a great relationship. He loves to be loved on and petted

In any case DO work in him beeing comfortable to your touch cause you *might* need to handle him some day.

A lab with 5 years is notca pup but can still be somehow playful.
Try to get him playful with your touch and recover those times

Well, you *can* try it. No harm if you do not get forceful or insistent. And no other way to know. Just do it in a playful way, in the sane way you touch a paw and look at him for play.

Sounds like the sort of dog that has always been in the house cared but asked to behave and never had lots of rough play. Am I right?

Let me clarify, I don't have any issues handling him for things like nail cutting or taking to the vet. He loves to be touched he just doesn't like to be grabbed and parts of his body held. He's a super happy boy, incredibly playful, never been aggressive, great with my kids. He doesn't say away at all touching.

If you know him, are you comfortable with some playful roughhousing? In that you can also incorporate being a bit friskier. I lead more with my head and shoulders and face rather than my hands since that's how dogs play. There are also other dog-flirt things that you can mimic like sniff-licking his ears and nuzzling his face or sniffing/nosing near his groin while playing. Doing so naked may make him more curious. Sex is a playful engaging fun thing, so if you can figure out things you can do to be playful and engaging and fun to your dog while also being respectful to him you're probably heading in the right direction.

For the typical lab the best approach is always do it as oart of the play and get him more accustomed to handling and holding. But yes, looks goid as he is.

Sexually. Um. He is not snipped, is he?
For the rest, lots of play, excitation and chest rubs and see if he get the idea or he is just not into it.

In five years. Has he starred any typical leg hug or furniture humping that you know of?

Hes not fixed and he's never humped anything
 
Hard to say, but maybe just start with touching him more but stopping quickly not pushing the issue. Animals are like people, if its a bad experience they will shy away from it. Just start with gentle petting, no pun intended.
 
Everyone has said just about everything so I'm just gonna add -- take some time to read up on the resources on here and then lotsa of PATIENCE knowing that your dog may very well not be interested at all in the end.
