How to get a male dog to mount?

Didn’t know where this went, but I need help, I can’t get my boy to mount, he’s interested in sexual activity, but he never mounts, doesn’t hump pillows, my hand, other dogs, or anything really, I believe his previous people trained it away, probably violently, when he’s hard he just sits there for 10 to 20 minutes until he’s no longer hard, is there any way I can get him to relearn mounting or should I just live without it?
 
Mounting is instinctual, but it's possible to "train it away", best advice is to not rush it. You need to let him know that it's okay, and he won't be punished for it. Maybe start with jerking him gently? But depending on his age, it may be too ingrained for him to try. I wish you luck!!

He’s nearly 2, so I’m hoping there’s a chance, but he’s not made any attempts to act on it so I just hope he will someday

I know that much, and he would tell me he’s interested by dragging my hand to his crotch, it’s a behavior he only displays in this circumstance, if he wants belly rubs he just rolls onto his back
 
Im no expert, but start slow, rub him off a bit, caress him, then slowly get him to mount you. Lead him on, see how he reacts and act accordingly. He needs to know that mounting and pleasing himself is okay again basically. That way, he'll eventually start on his own, but for the first few times, you'll have to lead him on
 
Well, I didn't train my dog for humping me, but I can tell it can be awkward for him the first times. Don't get discouraged and try to foreplay with him, maybe without reaching for his sheath?
My dog seems to get easily uninterested from jumping if I rub him

I’ve been trying that lately, but he doesn’t play, I just cuddle with him, he seems to like it

Yeah I’m trying that, I went too far the first time though so I’m leaving him alone for now
 
Hugs, kisses, lots and lots of belly rubs, I haven’t gone ‘all the way’ with my Newfie but he loves to MUNCH while we do these activities! Gets him going the fastest!
 
Lots of play. Physical fun play. Get down on the floor, wrestle around a little, play tug with a rope, push him back and little and then let him rush back.

Play for a dog is like foreplay for a human. Get down on the floor and have fun with him and see if things develop more sexual

This… be playful with him.
Go down with him, be on all fours, roll around, show him your belly, wave with your bottom in his direction… push him with your nose, whine a bit… just be a playful, submissive bitch in heat for him:)
And when he does something you like and he’s reacting to you, then encourage him!
And give him time! Don’t rush things.
