How to approach a significant other?

I would love to eventually get my wife into k9 or more one day but I have zero clue as to how I would bring something like this up to her.
I guess I'm look for advice on how other people have approached the subject to their s/o. Is there any way to tell if is something she might be interested in, or conversely, red flags that I shouldn't even bring it up?

I can't say that I have extensive experience with this, however I have a friend that was going through kinda a rough stretch with his wife.

She thought he was cheating on her, when all he was doing was looking at zoo porn(beastforum time period).

One night he was looking at zoo stuff and she walked in and he closed everything as fast as he could. Obviously she was suspicious.

I don't remember the conversation exactly
So with no disinformation: she said tell me whats going on or I want a divorce.

So he(guitarzan) said I've been watching this
And shows her some k9 knotting vids with women.

I don't remember what he said her reaction was at the time.. I do know that after that point they did k9 stuff on a regular basis.

To be more to the point with your question,
I guess ultimately you need to decide if you are happy or unhappy enough in the relation ship to chance or not chance risking an absolute blow out over this.
Is it something you just want to see?
Or is it something you want to share?

If its somthing you want to share in a relationship then in my oppinon I would say
Go for it.

I have had many lady friends and I have found that after we have sex she(they/women) like to pick your brain about more deep/secret thoughts.

Many have asked me: what's your fantasy.
I respond with: well don't think me a freak but, my friend showed me this video(insert favorite knotting vid) and I thought it was interesting.

Curiosity usually takes over from there.
Thou I usually got: well I love that you are comfortable enough with me to tell me that, but it won't be with me.

that's probably the best piece of advice i've seen in all these "how to train my wife to fuck a dog" threads
you'd be surprised how many ask this just because they only want to watch and not share and it's kinda sad....

Thank you for taking the time to answer and provide some thoughtful insights. I have actually thought about showing her some videos before so perhaps that would be a good place to start.
I'm not worried about it being a blow out or her leaving over it, she is actually pretty open minded and has been good about indulging any fantasies I've had. I more just want to be sure I don't turn her off to the idea right away by approaching it the wrong way. The idea of saying a friend turned me on to it is a great idea and I may go about it that.
