That’s an amazing question, I did it with a 14 years old German shepherd and he was good.

But you can expect the desire to have sex diminish over time. It can also be related to health problems like painful joints.
There is definitely going to be a point when you should stop having sex with a dog even though he might still want to, to not stress his health.

i would say if he is showing discomfort . authritis things like that. if he comes out and he is liking it , enjoy

More dependent on general health and anything like joint pain than anything else I would say.
We had dogs who were 9 and 8 who both still enjoyed sex. I would say for both, the mind was still willing but the body was not so able by the last couple of years though.

Each dog is different some age is not so much an issue. If he shows signs of physical hardship like laboured breathing or even moving around it may be time to stop.
