How many true zoo people are out there

Since we get a lot of comments about being unable to meet another zoo, I thought looking at the estimated percentage of people who are either zoo active or have been active in the past.
Using an estimated world population of 8 billion that would make anywhere from 2.4 million to 4 million as being zoo.
I think these numbers are low as the estimates are from older surveys. I might guess that we number somewhere between 10 million and 20 million.
And I think that number is growing as younger people don't have the same bias against zoo as in the past.
It's just that most are being zoo in private and very few even know about places like this or bother to seek them out.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
 
Its hard to get an accurate estimate TBH, With the nature of our activities being socially unacceptable im sure most zoos choose to remain hidden and likely wouldn't answer a survey about such a thing honestly. If one had access to statistical data on the number of unique views to zoo prornography and compared that data against more conventional porn one could then use the percentage of the population that watches conventional porn as the basis for an estimate of individuals who watch zoo porn. At that point its an estimate based on an estimate and would only account for those who are zoo and choose to watch zoo content.... thats a tough nut to crack for sure.

The biggest problem I see in the use of zoo porn for a comparison, is that many who view it are not zoo and don't plan on starting a relationship involving zoo. They just watch it because it's taboo and they're becoming less and less able to become aroused from "traditional" porn because of the overload of it on the internet.
But I do agree that many who are active would not answer yes in a survey even if it was done anonymously. We always get back to that pesky issue of who we can trust and is someone looking to expose us.
 
I think there are a lot of zoo people out there that stay hidden.
And are not aware there are many people like them.
For many years I thought i was the only sick bastard in the world that would do this.
I was alone!
Then in 2004 i found BF.
It opened my eyes to a whole new world, it was such a burden removed from my shoulders.
 
Honestly you could do a wisdom of the crowd type of poll. Its been shown that if you ask a large enough sample group a question and then average out the answer the result is typically and surprisingly very accurate. If you ask the question in a very general way you could ask zoos and non-zoos alike to increase your sample size. The question could be "What percentage of the global population do you believe are zoophiles?"
