It does not usually last long. The idea of canine mating is to secure the tie quickly.

It's usually less than 30 seconds of thrusting before he's fully 'big' and knotted. A few will do a thrust here and there. That's been my experience with them over the years.

As has been noted, if a dog is thrusting for more than about half a minute to a minute, he's either a rookie that can't find the hole, or he's a sexual oddball. Typically, a dog is a "once or twice a day" critter. Exceptions exist, but that's exactly what they are: exceptions. The vast majority are "one and done-for-the-day", assuming an actual full erection/tie/ejaculation. If they slip the tie with a bitch, they MAY come back for a second go-round, but unless they're sharing a domicile, the most likey behavior is gonna be "OK, it was good for me, hope it was good for you, seeya 'round - maybe".

I've seen well trained dogs stay tied for 2-3 minutes, pumping their cum and staying on almost motionless. My dog in particular was a jump on and off a couple of times guy, then when he hits his mark goes to town for about 20-30 seconds. Unless he's kept on (which I never liked to do) he'd jump off, lick her a bit and maybe go for another quick try.

Once he gets his rocket deep inside, the knot swells very quickly. The rapid thrusting probably means he's not in good.

I think a big factor is the dogs size and your holes size. If the dog has a big knot and your hole is small, it’s likely to be pretty quick because he will tie quickly.

However, I see videos where it tends to last longer and sometimes quite a few mounts because it’s a smaller dog knot and either a woman or a man that’s pretty loose. Some dogs really want to feel that resistance and tie to stop….other are giving 15 seconds whether the knot is in or not…then will rest with the knot outside.

Fully formed in less than a minute. Kegel exercises help me clench my muscles to keep the knot in-place..... great rides this way.

My dog is still getting used to mounting, I usually jack him off so it takes about a minute of thrusting before he gets his mark

As others have said fairly quickly i'd say under a minute. If they are used to it and really in the mood it can be quicker though like 10 seconds.
