K cheers mateFor some reason it doesn't seem to recognize the .mp4 as a video file.
Have you tried using Chrome (Im assuming your using Samsungs internet app) or uploading from a PC/Laptop rather than your phone?
If it came from someone's phone or video recorder, then uploaded, then yes, the metadata should be removed. It should be removed whether or not you recorded it if you want to be on the safe side.Does metadata need to be removed if the media wasn't recorded by oneself?
Even if I downloaded the video from a web page?If it came from someone's phone or video recorder, then uploaded, then yes, the metadata should be removed. It should be removed whether or not you recorded it if you want to be on the safe side.
That's up to you. I would think it's worth doing since I don't believe websites clear EXIF data. I think it would be worth clearing it just for that alone.Even if I downloaded the video from a web page?
Sorry for all the questions! What's EXIF data? That's up to you. I would think it's worth doing since I don't believe websites clear EXIF data. I think it would be worth clearing it just for that alone.
Last question: If I downloaded an ArtofZoo video from a public website. Would there be any metadata to remove?Oh it's not a problem! It's always worth asking! EXIF data is basically metadata about an electronically taken photo or video. It includes the video recorser/phone model data, date taken, and other things. The majority of the photos and videos also include geo-locational data - this means if the data isn't cleared, it could be used to to estimate a pinpoint of the location of where the photo or video was taken.
Here's are some more in-depth thread about it. Hope this helps.

UPDATE: metadata is tricky to get rid of. If you want to check whether a file is safe to upload, use ExifTool and carefully read the report it generates. ExifTool is free and works on macOS, Windows, and all Linux and BSD variants. Get it here: https://exiftool.org/ Hello, big blue...www.zooville.org

If it was a professional video, then I wouldn't see a need to remove it. If you want to, you sure could though.Last question: If I downloaded an ArtofZoo video from a public website. Would there be any metadata to remove?
