How do I prevent my dog from scratching me

My dog keeps scratching me when he’s trying to knot me and i don’t feel too good about that …what advice would you give me in order to teach him not to scratch …he’s a good fuck buddy and ducks me well,but the scratches are not so cool …

You can't teach him not to scratch, but you can put socks on your dog
 
Learn how to properly clip and shape nails or wear some clothes on those parts that get scratched.

Like others have said, put something on his paws or wear some clothes. Maybe it’s me, but I personally like the scratches. Every time I see them or something rubs them it puts a smile on my face. It’s a quick little reminder of how I got them.

Ok thanks for this information,I’ll try putting socks on his paws …yes I know it’s always fun to remember the scratches 😁….knitting is so fun

Some dogs don’t feel comfortable with socks on their paws ..hope you know that ??

Very true. I still have a scar or two on my hips from when I first started. I have been scratched so badly that I been asked what had happened.
 
If you have the patience to get them used to wearing socks or dog shoes.. you can use it as a trigger to let them now it is playtime.
Most dogs gets used to wearing them...

That’s right ..you need to let them get used to it and it wouldn’t be a problem …I hope my dog adapts easily ….he’s big and just humps on me without hesitation whenever I bend over ..

So sorry about the scars ,maybe you need to trim the nails on his paws …for effective knotting

Thanks. I had them for at least 15 years so they are pretty faded. Like I said they are from when I first started and I knew nothing and didn’t know what to expect.

The newest member of my family is a lab. His is about 9 months old and 60lbs. Look up the thread New family member. First pic is when I first got him. The last pic I took yesterday.

Socks can help but a few scratches are expected if you are being his bitch. Treat them like a badge of honour. Make sure his nails are cut and not too long can help a little but the pain is worth it.
 
1. Regularly trim his claws
2. Wear a long teeshirt with no panties when getting knotted.
3. there are caps you can get to put on dog claws to prevent that.
4. Socks on his paws.

Dog scratches really can tell a lot about a person. The single scratch could be accidental from just playing but the multiple scratches and their location tell those in the know what you have been doing. Wear them as badges of honour as couriouscplz says.
