Just adopted a 2yr old female rescue. She is scared of everything including me. It's a chore just to walk her. She had three pregnancies. She was sprayed by the rescue agency so she will not get pregnant again. I am hesitantly eager to start a zoo relationship with her. But I don't want to hurt her or cause her more trauma. At this point, we are just getting to know each other, and I am trying to earn her trust. How long do you think this first step will take? Do you think we will ever be able to be intimate? Should I even try?
