What are some tips for raising a K9 to breed? To clarify I myself am not looking to do the deed but want another dog and would like it to be ready to breed if I hosted for someone else.

The most important thing is to give him a safe and loving home. The sexual aspect is just a part of the relationship.There is something to be said for having and owning a puppy and letting him grow and develop naturally and at his own pace. For me, I was close to him ever since he was a little pup, part of why I named him shadow was he was always next to me and underfoot, like my shadow.
He is a good companion and we always played a lot ever since he was little. When he started to exhibit sexual behaviors towards me it was really just a natural extension of our play. Even today, play is a big part of it.
It’s important to show him affection (not only sexual!) but play, pet, sit with him, all those things including taking him on walks. He’ll know what to do when the time is right and if he is not interested that is ok too. All dogs are different, just like people.
