Exactly what behavior problems does he say it would cause? If he says it causes problems then he should be able to say what problems other than "it causes problems". It is difficult to make an argument against it when you don't know what you're actually arguing against.

I don't think there is any real answer to this question that doesn't have an example of something that could be misconstrued as being "bad". For instance some dogs will try to hump a person's leg even though they've never had sex with a human before. But someone could try to make an argument that that is one of the bad behaviors that would come about from having sex with one even though many dogs do it without actually having sex.

Having said that, mine do not do that to strangers or friends visiting my home or when we're at a dog park or any of that either. I think a lot of behavior issues stem from poor socialization and lack of obedience training myself, more than having sex. But that's just my opinion and we would need examples of what he calls out as bad behavior resulting from sex.

I don't know what I was trying to achieve... I was stressed out. I didn't want to hide something from him. We're the type of couple that tells each other EVERYTHING and it felt so weird and bad to have a secret. I don't think I'm ever going to take a romantic/sexual animal partner, it's a nice thought but I doubt he would approve of the relationship. My first language is not English so I could perhaps be wrong about the interpretation I had of it, or the way I felt about it.
