How Dangerous are Stallions?

I've met a woman with horses & she tells me Stallions can be very aggressive & if you own one on your property your insurance can triple?
Are they really that aggressive?
Seems like they would be more fun to play with yet, not a smart idea?

All depends on how they were raised and treated, stall kept breeding stallions are absolutely the most dangerous ones I've dealt with while pasture kept AKA herd sires can be no different than the average mare.

My stallions were rode, shown and left in the pasture with their mares and foals, they were a pleasure to work with and be around unlike the typical "oh he's much too dangerous to ride or take out of the stall for anything other than breeding" stallions most people are familiar with.

I'm just commenting because it seems appropriate to mention.......2500 lb animal with steel shoes.........seems a bit dangerous to me. Just saying.
