Gel is extremely porous, which means it's a bacteria trap. It's also a reactive material; if it stays in contact with other materials it will melt, it's capable of leeching of potential toxic chemicals, and over time it will harden and crack.

All reputable makers stopped using gel 15 years ago.


Now maybe I'm wrong and they're not gel, but I've never seen any other material that's clear - besides glass.

Do your research, check what the material is, and google sex toy material safety. Platinum Silicone, stainless steel, and non-porous glass are the only truly safe materials. All others are either porous or toxic.
