You're definitely going to want to look at need characteristics. For example, if you two are very active people and love going out and exploring nature, a breed like a saint bernard might not be for you.

Or if you two are generally stay at home house bodies a breed like a GSD or husky might not be for you.

You'll definitely going to want to research any breed of dog and their general behavioral characteristics to fit your own lifestyle so you don't regret any decision made. Also, you'll want to research their temperaments and find a doggo that best fits your lifestyle in that regard as well.

Thanks! We have been looking at rotties. Want a dog that is big and also wants to go everyday.
