1st, I'd like to welcome you to ZooVille. There's a very diverse range of people here, but most are of good character.
I see that you've been getting some very good advice here. This is wonderful. I also love the fact that you've taken the approach that you have. Instead of coming on here and saying things like: "Hi, I'm new here... Anyone got a dog I can fuck?", you asked for help from others in finding "a good dog". I commend you for this in the highest. Thank you.
Now, more to your query of finding a "good dog".
I personally have found very good dogs either through friends and family, local newspaper ads, and in recent decades: online resources like CraigsList.
The key here is to really shop around. Use the links that @pes has shared with you. And keep in the forefront of your search what breed of dog has the most compatible temperament with you and your life style. If you are an active hiker, then a more active dog breed will suite you better, if you're a couch potato, then a more sedentary dog breed would be better for you, or wherever you fit in between these two extremes. For example, because I'm now well into my 60's and life in a senior mobile home park, I have chosen a Goldador who's mostly Golden Retriever. Golden Retrievers are renowned for their gentleness and are usually not problem barkers.
Hope this helps... ?

Im sitting here and reading through this post and Im finding the information so far to have been very enlightening. Im also looking for a fury friend soon. Its a shame this conversation came too such an abrupt halt. I will take from this thread what I can and use it in my search for a companion and a life long friend who I can bond with regardless of any sexual interactions or not. Thanks all for the input as it is very appreciated. Thank you.Damn we almost made it through one page of messages before we realize all he wants is a sex toy.
I was so hoping to beat the one page thing and at least get up to three pages this time.
Well this is a disappointing day
The links provided in this thread by Pes should give you a pretty good wealth of information about dog ownership and choosing a companion.Im sitting here and reading through this post and Im finding the information so far to have been very enlightening. Ive had dogs in the past. The last girl died of old age. Had her for 17.5 years. She was desexed when I got her as a tiny puppy. She was 3 weeks old and as I found out it was illegal to sell her at that age. I raised her and the non sexual bond I had with her was amazing. I lost my best friend and I cried for weeks. This was a few years ago but I still miss her and think of her every day. I dont want to replace the memories of her but I would love to find a new companion. Not sure if this time round it will be M or F. Time will tell. I will make sure the puppy will be fully intact and I want to have the next one until it dies of old age just like the previous one. The information Ive picked up from this site is directing me in certain directions which is very helpful. Just cause Ive had dogs before it doesnt mean its easy to raise a new dog. Every dog has its own personality and traits. I just want to find the right fit for me.The links provided in this thread by Pes should give you a pretty good wealth of information about dog ownership and choosing a companion.
All my previous dogs have had good homes and fantastic life styles. The next one will be no exception to that rule. It will be spoilt rotten. Only difference this time round is that after bonding over time I would like to take the relationship to the next level.I wish you the best in your search for your new companion. It sounds like (s)he will have a wonderful life with you at their side.
