Young and active cats can get diabetes. It makes factual sense, but I'm still in shock a month after losing my girl. Called her girlfriend because she was blatantly in love with me and would get jealous of other cats. I have her urn sitting next to my bed so I can talk to her at night and I have a small teddy bear tucked under my arm because I'm so used to having someone there when I sleep.
