Health and safety?

Is there a thread on the risks of zoonotic disease? I think its important to keep ourselves and our
four legged family members healthy.

What prompted this was seeing people suggest or request meet ups. No one knows who has been
where and with whom. And lets face it Homo Sapiens and STD/STI's are a mess. People get infected
and spread it unknowingly. There are even people that knowingly spread diseases.

Other species and STDs... well idk how a hoof puts on a condom XD

hiya i was wondering if humans can transfer any kinds of stds to dogs or vice versa . jus concerned if a pup is with more then one lady . and can transfer something to another person.

From what I have read, only a couple of strong diseases are transferable between animals and humans, but then, you would see the animal is not healthy by that point. You are mostly fine if you it is your pet, and is well taken care.
Though you can catch human STDs if you share animals without using protection, going right after an infected person.

Any zoonotic diseases. That's just the transmission route is not exclusive, and not even preferably sexual.
It is very conditionally possible to attribute to similar toxoplasmosis and ureaplasmosis. Some chlamydia are present in some dogs. Each specific pathogen must be considered individually.
The causative agents of human sexually transmitted diseases can be stored in the reproductive tract of dogs.
The storage time is different for pathogens.
The reverse is also fair enough, do not forget about it.
For example, people can, under certain conditions, be included in the transmission
CTVS. Although there is not so simple, it is worth considering.

Threre is a thread on this topic somewhere in the how to section of the forum.
