Having sex vs. making love

Hallu everyone, I have a question (I'm pretty much a "zoo virgin") and maybe it's a weird one, and I'm not 100% sure how to word this, but let's try.

I had a sexual life that could easily be considered "poor", I had sex very few times (especially penetrative sex), and I never made love, what I mean by that is that I never had the pleasure to do anything intimate with someone that I had romantic feeling for. So, I guess I actually have 2 questions:

1) what does it feel like making love with an human (as a male)?
2) most importantly, how does it feels to make love with a non human companion, and, even more important question, is it possible to begin with?
Here people keep talking about fucking, very rarely I see posts where feelings are involved (it could also be becouse I'm new here and I just missed a lot of stuff).

I hope my weird question is clear and that I'm posting in the right place.

It is possible when you love the animal.
It feels pretty amazing as in my case I am doing it for my partner and not for my own pleasure. So you are enjoying the fact that your partner loves it. It involves much more cuddling, kissing, body heat sharing, enjoying each other on a deeper level than just sex.

It depends on how one's brain is wired. Those who like people more will enjoy human sex more. Those who like animals more will enjoy animal sex. For whom they are the same, they enjoy both equally.

A non-zoo person considers sex with humans to be the most wonderful thing in the world and sex with animals to be disgusting.
An excluzoo or mostlyzoo will find sex with humans disgusting or tired and sex with animals most wonderful.

I love my female dogs, I look at them for a long time and enjoy their faces, their fur, their movements, I can never get tired of them. Their smell is wonderful, the softness and feel of their fur, the warmth that radiates from their skin, the way their body curves adjust to my body, the way my hairy body touches their furry body. I feel their heartbeats, their breathing, I look at their beautiful eyes, I kiss their wet noses. And I make them happy, that makes me happy, that makes them even happier and I am even happier. A real romantic relationship and romantic sex is a self-stimulating process in which there is continuous happiness and passion. Better than heroin.
 
I think it's important to spend some serious time studying what love is. It's often assumed that everyone knows what it is, but honestly I think very few people really put in the effort to understand it. There's plenty of books about it. When it comes to making love, I think it's something I've never done since I haven't loved anyone (human or otherwise) I've been intimate with. I have been loving though. But it's not quite the same I think.

tbf I think people (well, men mainly) in general are not very much in touch with their emotions, and don't respond well to others expressing theirs (except in various acceptable means, like through music etc.)

That I do not know, because I lack that dangling thing between my legs.
But I do know how it feels to make love to a human that you actually have a strong emotional bond with.
As @pes already began explaining about sex and his dog, you don't do it with your own pleasure as top priority. The other persons pleasure is more important, for me anyway.
It is someone that you care a lot about and you want both to feel very good while you do it. Making love is more than just the physical pleasure, it is also mentally and emotionally stimulating. It is the physical confirmation of your emotional bond.

"Strangely", it is rather similar to what is written above, if you love your animal and feel that emotional bond. It can feel like it is more the physical part then the emotional part, and if your animal is male, there is a very high chance that you will notice that he is a bit more selfish than a human lover would be.

when you truly love the one your with even poor sex feels amazing as it is more about the mutual bonding. when making love with my now late woofy wife was amazing every time, enjoyed the look and contours of her face, her scent, just generally every thing, seeing her tense in pleasure was every thing. and the cuddling after was just as good as the sex.

Both should feel like a deep connection between you and the individual you are with. Typically paired with arousal and the want or need to make your partner feel as good as you do. Most people will tell you how good it is to feel your partner orgasming while you're still pumping. Then cuddling afterwards ? the sense of safety and the warmth. There's nothing quite like a night well spent.
