Has anyone played with a Mastiff?

Hey I was wondering if anyone has ever played with a mastiff before? I’m looking into getting a dog and am deciding on which breed to get. How are they as partners?
 
My parents have a mastiff/Bernese mountain dog cross and he is the sweetest thing. He got pretty attached to me and I have been mounted by him several times. He is a gentle giant!

You’re asking the wrong question. You should be more concerned about what’s compatible with your life. Mastiffs are expensive to feed and their medical bills run high later in life

that was my next question…damn lol. I was trying to think of ways I could make it work but I doubt I would even have the room much less the money for medical bills. I wouldn’t want a dog that’s gonna have a lot of issues, not because they don’t deserve love but because I know I don’t have the resources or the time to dedicate to all of that. Maybe something a little more low maintenance but still good size dog like a rottie, dobie, or GSD I’m guessing? Because I have no idea?

You got a lot of reading to do. Use your first head not your second. If you don’t have the time or money a rott and the other two are out of the equation.
