I’ve been on here for a few months, slowly testing the waters and reaching out a little. I plan on owning a dog hopefully within the next year or two, and looking for someone to be his first, but I’m slowly growing disillusioned. The amount of hopelessly old and degenerate men on here is rather astounding, I get messages monthly from people despite the fact that I have never posted, nor am interested in men (lol!). I get the forum subsists on a general sexual fixation/camaraderie, but I find the unnecessary sexual braggadocio to be a sign of the general lack of purposeful efforts towards meeting in the real world. The purpose of the forum ought to heads towards real life connections, not furthering the already hyper-sexual cyberspace. A fair chunk of the people I’ve seen on here act quite embarrassingly for adults. I wonder then, how often do meetups actually materialize, that is, how many people are actually interested in what they boast about online? Perhaps I’m airing my grievances too publicly, if so, forgive me!

The work is yours to do, sunny Jim...and since youre an obvious "ageist", you're probably not understanding something....You're making plans to get a dog?...So....what will you do if the dog doesnt perform? Hope you've picked a breed you can live with for 15 years, in that case. Are you aware that it will be a MINIMUM of a year before you can even START the training process? That depends a lot on breed, with larger dogs performing far more slowly. The voices of experience here can help; they arent likely to if youre lumping them all into the category of "Degenerates".

Your perception and/or expectation of what this place should be is misplaced. Everyone on this forum has their own personal reason(s) for being here and real-life connections are probably very low on that list for the majority. The fact of the matter is that this lifestyle is very illegal almost everywhere so even attempting a real-life connection is an inherent risk in itself.
The internet allows anonymity that affords us to behave in ways we would never in real life. Gotta love the trolls.
I'm sure there are very real people out there and in here who are genuine and would love to make a real connection however not many are willing to take that risk because it is a big risk. In most cases, it's all or nothing especially if the relationship goes south. You're also assuming that everything else about the relationship will also work. Just having a commonality interest in this lifestyle is not enough to sustain a relationship and external factors could cause the relationship to fail resulting in someone knowing your secret and outing you at their will. Not a good place to be.
You're not alone however venting to internet strangers probably won't bear any fruit.

Yeah that's how any site that's centered around any kind of sexuality tends to go.
I've definitely had the same experiences on sites like Fetlife, tinder. Even facebook. And they can get defensive all they want about it, but it doesn't change the fact that it's really obnoxious behavior to most, even if they've had a few successes.
I feel sorry for the girls who put up with it more than us guys do. Not to mention it makes all of us look bad.
Live and let live, though. If something clicks with someone, then cool. If not, oh well.
