You know you learn something everyday, and I was just thinking that with the lightning network it's about time somebody made a decentralized forum. Apparently it's been around for a long time.

I had never heard of it (obviously), any of you? Any comments [besides evidence-free assertions by government that they have hacked in, they always say that about the things they can't hack into in the hopes that you'll switch to something they can].

Tim Pool talks about it sometimes. Sounds like a good idea, but I rather wait a bit to see if it's worth my time. Get some more feed back.

Well I'll report what I find out here. Despite being more than a few years old it looks like there isn't yet what I would call a full blooded "forum", there are static content sites and messaging.

A much newer one actually based on lightning is https://guide.getzion.com/, now right off the bat the integration with financing is a good feature; but again they seemed to be focused on isolated opt-in communities with speakers and followers rather than the open discussion a forum facilitates.
