FORBIDDEN_WEBSITE! connection

Seems like FORBIDDEN_WEBSITE! is having problems again. And they aren't the only ones... My 4 TB porn drive failed and it has 90% of my collection on it. What pisses me off it that it died while I was backing it up to a brand new drive (around 10% completion mark).
All that downloading from FORBIDDEN_WEBSITE! is a monumental task and the time is lacking... but since fewer than half the links are actually working it's no real option. What's the issue they keep running into?
Are there any dependable fileshares like there were 10 years ago. I had build a formidable collection using those. There were a few fantastic DirectConnect hubs that we perfect for trading. It was damn near automated too--so easy. Then came the Scandinavian authorities (Sweden, I think) to put an end to those--scattered to the wind.
Just curious, but who here would take the drive in the shop for repair to save the collection, lol???
