Can someone explain why I'm not allowed to follow other people? It says, Ignore or start conversation. Yesterday it had Follow as an option but not now.
 
Take your stalker follows to where they're welcome.

I really want to know where this supposed ability to stop people from being able to follow is, sick and tired of random members following me for any reason.

ZT's post yesterday read as if his new change added an option to disable it, but I don't see one and he locked he thread "ending the matter".

Some people seem to have a bit too high self esteem up to the point of claiming they are beautiful so many times it becomes somewhat suspicious and thinking they are so great everybody has to love them. :D

don't wanna be that guy (also technically doesn't apply to this situation)

but with a profile picture like that you're gonna get a bunch of creepos and degenerates following you. Also it's not like you can meet any of these people irl, unless you like risky encounters with a non-zero probability of ending up as a missing person. What were you thinking?

Because 99% of them never replied to a single thing I have posted nor reacted to them, they only follow in hopes of getting the news feed of those they followed, which is easy enough to block. Following should have to be accepted by both parties or have the ability to remove any you do not wish to have.

you are still posting publicly accessible messages on a publicly accessible site, if someone wants to scrape the whole site for posts and put them in a database, they can

the biggest threat is imho DMs being leaked through an attack on the servers. basically assume all info public or private can become public at any time and you should be fine

Creepos following me doesn't bother me at all.

I'm a big girl and can handle a few loose canons.

Instead of being paranoid over who follows you, why not make sure your security is airtight and you don't post or say anything you shouldn't in the first place?

Some personal info I told about myself could be cross-referenced with things I posted under different identities on other accounts, but I haven't posted under my real name in a decade and a half, and that identity was purged completely (I burned half a decade of artwork and 3d models to make sure I can't be traced). If anyone does piece my online whereabouts together, they'd be running from dead end into dead end. That's how you do it right.

Your posts are still public, if people want to find them, all they gotta do is google it with a couple of parameters ("site:" and quotation marks for exact phrase for example. I tried it and got 1,690 results (probably some are dupes).
