Hello fellow zoo enjoyers!

First post here, so dont mind if i sound too stupid. New to this!

I am planning on getting a female dog and cannot decide between the different breeds and would love to gain some insight.
I already went through some of the guides here but still have a few other questions and perhaps miss other things out.

Obviously i want a female dog with the intentions of having a friend on 4 legs, just a pet to take care of, go on walks and simply have someone at my side. I grew up with dogs as a child but thats about it.
My preference for the breed would be one thats naturally docile or at least easy to train. Short fur is also important to me.

Apart from simply spending life with her, i also would like to have sex with her.
I love the idea of having raw sex with my female dog and want to make sure my cock would fit in well and that she also enjoys it and is the one initiating it ideally.

So any recommendations and your own experience how you started getting her used to your cock, touching her areas would be great!
Any other advice is also welcome!

being new is not an excuse to not even look whatever what you're asking is or isn't already there. (it is).

When it comes to females, it is best to go for the biggest dog that you can afford so you have the best chances of fitting inside her. Short fur and low energy and big is a match for a great dane.
Thank you, this is very helpful! Do you have any personal experience with that breed?

Thats great! I am looking for a dog which fits well to my personality and my daily life and not just to have sex with her
I would not get a great dane. The live expectancy it between 6 to 8 years and are prone to have many illnesses.
Other breeds have that problem too. Like Rottweilers.
And the biggest problem is the food. Any dog food with corn or grains in it is causing the most health issues in dogs ever.
And the breed is not always the best indicator for the personality.
Dogs are born with an certain energy level. Low, middle, high and very high. The breed is, after that, like an multiplier for the energy.
We had an german shepherd breeder here who could select the right puppy for the right owner. He knew, that one is going to be a cuddle bug and that one is going to be a police dog.
I would recommend you tho visit several breeders and talk to them. They can tell you more about the quirks of the breed.
And stay away from breeds that are mostly breed for looks.
The best example is the "new" german shepherd with that arged lower back. I knew someone who had one of those. The dog had hip problems when he was only 3,5 years old, invested hundreds and thousands of dollars for pain meds and doctor bills. And he died of cancer with 6 years old.

Is it odd that I am not attracted to my own dog? My dog is a smaller breed and it wasn’t my first choice…I wonder if it’s because it feels like my child more than my mate.
