first hit on google

dear All, I noticed that google produces our zooville name as one of the first hits...for me, I think, this is not what I want. is there any option to change this??

Google indexes pages on its own. Zooville could block google's indexing bot I think, but I am not sure the administration wants to do that. (or whether it has been done already)
Otherwise do not use google to search for zooville. :D Remember the url.

i think it's more to do with your personal pc rather than Google itself
like when you use your PC to search for something, advertisements for that thing tend to show up more often than would on another pc

He trained google to like zooville. :D
You can go into your account settings if you were logged in (I hope not :D ) and clear the history and whatever else google collects about you.
But you should really use at least a vpn to view this website or even better TOR and duckduckgo or some less intrusive search engine.

I did not lookup my zooville-name, but an extraordinary name used on zooville (in order to understand the meaning etc). Google provided just one reference: and that was zooville. next step was to check my own name here, fritsje12.

I've seen search engine bots from Google and Bing, as well as others, crawling ZV a lot. It's not necessarily a bad thing.
If your screen name isn't linked to the real you, and of course it isn't, I wouldn't worry about that, either.

You can ask an admin of Zooville to change your username. Some remnants of your old username will stay scattered in the forum, e.g. in posts where someone else mentioned you. But the change will probably help somewhat after some time.
