It just comes to anatomy. Some things are just too big and/or dangerous. There are some teeth, as you mentioned, girth of mouth, gag reflex, not good enought flexibility, the risk of him hurting said person with any motion.. I'd say the overleap is reasonably big, but even though we might like something, we may not be able to do it.
