Equibooru (callista.su) is down

Interesting, they report the site is reachable.
But i have checked from my home DSL connection and also mobile data connection from my phone, both of them can not connect to the site.
 
It's unreachable for me, currently.

I remember last year they changed the domain from callista to equibooru, but now it's been down for the past 4 weeks.
 
Equibooru had a major spam attack a few weeks ago, hundreds upon hundreds of pages of generic furry art just flooding the site in a attempt to ruin it, i saw an update from the mods that they had managed to stop the spam and restored the site to it's original state but it's kinda stuck in that state now, not a single new post since the spam attack, what's going on, have they locked it to keep more spam out or has something else happened?

No it's not, just rather broken at the moment after a spam attack and then someone retagging nearly everything.

Same thing happened with a discord server I was on, got spam attacked by anti zoos and extreme religionists ☹️ it's annoying and frustrating when ppl do this just because they don't like it. We wouldn't do it to them so why should they do it to us?
 
It seems to be down again, can anyone also check and see if they can figure out why it’s down (if it’s not just me)?

Yep it's down again...has been for a little while now.
I know they got hit hard with a furry spam attack back a few months ago. Not sure if somethin similar happend or if they totally lost their server
 
not sure how acurate this info is.
the owners and admins talked it over, and with the growing problem's with the host it was decided to take the site down. a full back up was made and if a hots can be found it will be back up. but just to give you a idea the site was to the point of being several TB is size and the cost for bandwidth was staggering. and this was a free site.
