does a mix-zebra-donkey (zonkey) or mix horse-donkey (mule) produce semen ? or the mare produce ovaries ?

So i hope you folks understand my question. I know a mule or a mix between zebra and donkey they are infertile no matter if the mule / zonkey is male or female. But my question is are they producing sperms and ovaries like all the other animals ? I mean I guess both male or female produce their hormones to either be male or female, so they should produce something or not ?

Yes all their reproductive parts are present and working, just the number of chromosomes causes a problem with sterility.

It looks like usually they do not.
I think this means there are no sperm cells in the ejaculate.
The reproductive cells can not usually correctly divide.
