Do you believe in bad dog breeds, bad owners, or a mix of both?

I barely have any experience with dogs myself, so it would be interesting to hear from people who are more experienced.

Yes, there are absolutely breeds with a propensity for violence. Deny it all you like it doesn't change the facts. The breeds with these issues were breed for it.

There are also breeds like some bulldogs that cannot fuck, birth or even breathe properly. Perpetuating them is straight up animal cruelty.

There are breeds that were breed specifically to be aggressive. Breeds were/are isolated for characteristics in order to fill specific roles, including being guard animals, military tools, etc. Does that mean every animal in that breed will be uncontrollably violent? No, but they do require a handler who knows how to temper and direct the natural aggression/other traits. All too commonly those breeds are the "preferred" for the kind of owner who only wants the breed as a symbol of how they portray themselves (rough and tumble badass who takes no shit) and have no clue or desire to handle the breed properly.

Both. I object to dogs being bred for pit fights to begin with. Then some owners fail to restrain them. I'm thinking if it's ok for someone to have pitbull it should be ok for me to have a tiger. All one needs is a big enuf fence, yeah?
