Hahaha. Not even sure what this means but looks like I’m gonna watch some JPark this weekend
I'm sorry. That was Friday, so I hope things are better today. Not sure if it’s the weather today or what’s the cause, but feeling a little blue wanting to check out and just watch Netflix. Anyone with words of encouragement or feeling the same…
This too, shall pass. Have a drink (if you’re not a drunk), settle down, and do something you enjoy to pull you out of your mind. You can always torture yourself tomorrow. Not sure if it’s the weather today or what’s the cause, but feeling a little blue wanting to check out and just watch Netflix. I had a feeling you might be, so I clarified.Yeah things turned around.
@bayareacpl: I am a drunk so I don’t drink lol. When I did I ended up in Mexico jail on a Tuesday. Lol. Question- where did you hear the phrase “this too shall pass”?
Gotcha. Thats why I was asking- bc we use it a lot.I had a feeling you might be, so I clarified.
It’s an old idiom I’ve heard for decades. I couldn’t pinpoint a source. I know AA uses it these days.
That’s very sweet of you.Hey I'm sorry, I've definitely been there many times myself! I hope you're feeling better, but if not, just focus on taking care of yourself. Mindfulness practices can help if you have any of those you like to do. Since I know my bouts of depression will pass eventually, I just try to keep myself as comfortable as I can given the circumstances. Certainly avoiding anything that will make it worse, good luck with your sobriety!! You got this! Virtual hugs from a stranger.
Appreciate the kind words. Feeling much better, but there’s still a lot of work that needs to get done! I really need to start practicing and re-engaging in mindfulness. Somewhere along the way I stopped believing that it would be beneficial and yet I have data points that reflect that it actually makes a huge difference, so tomorrow I commit to you that I will do 10 minutes of meditation before I do anything else. Thanks for the reminder.Hey I'm sorry, I've definitely been there many times myself! I hope you're feeling better, but if not, just focus on taking care of yourself.
