Same experience myself as a basement sleeper. I don't ever attempt pleasuring my dog unless I know my roommates/family are gone or are absorbed into something else entirely. There was one instance I over-judged and was almost caught fondling their phallus. It was just as we began, so no easy tells he had any experience. I am thankful I have creaky stairs to warn me when people come down.
