COVID Thanksgiving

My family is doing a very small gathering, although I would rather have no one over. Easier to manage and safer overall. Unfortunately, the extended family seems to not agree :/
 
Wasn’t planning on doing anything. Family is a thousand miles away and my “Friendsgivings” have fallen through due to the Lord Governor’s orders banning fun. Thinking about having dinner at the local speakeasy though, just found out they’re doing Thanksgiving.
 
Same. Ham, Mac n cheese, green bean casserole, plus, a small turkey and a few cakes. Go into a food coma, wake up, and repeat. Drinking a lot of coffee and doing online shopping. We're keeping it small this year.
 
I'm going to go all out like I'm having people here, but I'm just going to share everything with the dogs. They'll get greenbeans, corn, peas, stuffing and turkey when it comes out of the oven. The fudge brownies are mine though.

Oh, you're going to have fudge brownies alright. You're going to have fudge brownies all over the floor if you don't take those dogs outside to shit in time. Dogs love people-food but it can go straight through them sometimes, and it can be a foul smell. Still, it awesome to show dogs some love when it comes to food. Happy Thanksgiving.

They'll be fine. My folks would give them way more table scraps everyday than what they got earlier and have no bowl problems. And happy Thanksgiving to you :husky_happysmile:

That's fair. I can't be alone in feeling that 2020 is the year of "Why bother?" for many things. Here's hoping next year we can all lick each other again.

I had a small gathering of all the people in my household and had a nice thanksgiving dinner with them.
 
Was lazy so I decided not to go out. Dogs and I had Thanksgiving street tacos and Canadian beer for brunch and then French toast for dinner. Definitely a great way to celebrate an American holiday!
 
My family and lots of food. The boys deer hunted, and us girls cleaned up, relaxed, and watched a few movies.
