Hello all you freaky, fun, and brave people!
Many might have heard about the unfortunate events at the lgbtq+ establishment in Colorado Springs recently, and for those that have not heard there was a tragic event where a young man injured 18 and killed 5 innocent people trying to live life to the fullest. My heart goes out to them and I hope everyone can take a moment to remember and appreciate the efforts of those who were harmed and those that are grieving… it is a difficult world to understand, and I believe some are here because animals are often easier to connect with than humans, who are often baffling… to anyone struggling I wish you peace and strength, and to those that overcome obstacles I offer sincere congratulations and wish everyone well. These are trying times and I hope everyone has a companion or confidant to share their worries.

Yes and it seem some of the patrons overpowered the dude and subdued him till the police came.

But in my book another mass shooting incident by a young man with an AR induced by hate speech

This incident made me wonder about future laws involving guns, the 2nd amendment, the recent SC ruling in that if a proprietor was to scan for guns and deny entry, would the proprietor be violating the patrons rights??

It was fortunate indeed that people with training and awareness were abele to prevent further damage. I wish I knew how to help people that seem to be taken by destructive narratives but so far I only know that trying to reason or discuss issues has the opposite effect so as of now living by example as quietly as possible is all I’ve got… obviously there are no easy solutions
