Cleaning him?

So my male GSD just mounted me for the first time, he made some quick penetration and almost immediately hopped off of me (disappointing) and I couldn’t get him to mount again.

My question is, since I am receiving him in the rear, should I worry about cleaning him off? The thought of some kind of bacteria in his sheath has me a little concerned.

It’s always a good idea to practice good hygiene before sex—cleaning him and yourself as well. I wouldn’t worry about bacteria, though—a dogs sheath is naturally full of a healthy amount of it, it’s part of the microbiome, the community of helpful bacteria that exist within and on all animals—interestingly, humans and their canines actually merge bacterial communities, and if you culture the micro biome of folks with dogs you will find canine specific bacteria as part of the natural environment, and vice versa.

I've been doing that without cleaning my dogs for many years and had no issues.

Wow I did not know about this bacterial merging between dogs and their owners. Maybe that's what turned me zoo! If I get caught I will blame dog bacteria made me do it!!!
