Chat VS Forums?

The chat is really nice and smooth but not enough people are really hanging out there that conversations flow well

You can't request them anyway, maybe try reading the thread.
Yeah. I've read it idk... 15ish times. That's how i know I'm supposed to have 60 posts. That would also be why I posted this on it's own and not in that thread. You know... Adding numbers to my posts inconspicuously before attempting. (Seems like I've read that somewhere... but can't remember where ?.) My main goal is finding out is it even worth it or are there just a bunch of the same voids in being able to interact. If it's hard catching people to reply here that don't have to meet the qualifications... Doesn't that, by default mean that less people would be in the chats? I mostly wanna know is it really worth all the hassle with the sites an switching and going back n forth... when the only difference I can see from outside is it's live and probably with less people? What's the motivation to do that? Cause so far, what I'm seeing confirms my suspicions. I'm probably better off not worrying about watching in anticipation for the chance. Unless I see a valid reason like... It's dead here because people quit threads when they get the chat approval, or... The people there provide more insight or offer a better experience than the threads would be another reason. Your help is greatly appreciated though, when combined from a couple other responses it kind of tells me everything I need to know. Maybe I'm taking it wrong and I need my coffee, but "try reading" just gives off a very... "Learn how to read" vibe to me. And if the only difference is I get attitude with very little interaction vs the really warm and welcoming people in forums... I think I might post a thousand here and never care about all the extra steps to join the chat. If I took your response wrong, I apologise. "You can't be one of us, try reading” seems very standoffish. If you'd like tips on how to be more cordial and choosing words better to make people feel welcomed vs driven away... Please feel free to DM. I did sales for years and have a way with words. Like... ”Hey buddy, looks like you've got a way to go before you qualify, I can talk you through the differences while your qualifications build. Have you read the thread? A lot of people get confused and need better explanation and I'll assist if you need it.”

I was kind of suspicious it might be that way. Stricter requirements usually leaves less people, and it's already scarce enough here where anyone can post just by jumping into a setup that's run through an encrypted email address so everyone remembers discretion is crucial. I was really hoping the threads were so bare because chat is so much better people go there and quit posting in the threads. Any major advantages or disadvantages on one method can the other are really what I'm trying to figure out without the extra steps. I appreciate you sir. Right now my only motivation would be (as an outsider) it seems much more secure and these posts seem permanent vs chats that might/might not disappear or get buried faster. I value my ability to handle things securely and discretely, but I think that's a lot to go through just for an extra layer of coverage when the site owners already did a GREAT job of helping people not accidentally get into a sticky situation by reusing contact info that's already out in the real world. They also do an excellent job of reminding everyone not to post info in threads, don't use things like Kik etc. So far, the forums seem to fit pretty well with me and I might just quit keeping track of chat requirements and stay here. Happy "hunting..." Lol

Need more people verified and approved to enter! ❤️
Need for more people was also part of what I wanted to know. I've been on one or two similar forums, and so far it's always been easier leaving a bread crumb trail for people to reply to when they have a chance vs hoping stars align and the people I want to talk to have the same schedules as me and end up logged in at the same times. Well... Unless you're into the regular types of chatrooms. Those have people always...

I'm hoping more people do take the time. I am trying to build up the posts myself and once I do will happily install and use the chat app regularly. I think it's worth it just to be able to talk behind another wall of privacy.

I like more privacy, I just don't know for sure yet. I'm already using a device that's wifi only with no attachment to my name whatsoever. 4yo phone that's never been activated, bought from a buddy's nephew (purchased anonymously) who couldn't return it once he found out it needed a jailbreak to run service other than TMobile. That's running through a VPN that's added onto a wireless router in a secure location that is close enough for 4 houses to reach... but isn't on my property and they're gonna make noise tracking and digging things up the way I've routed the supply wires. I'm new to this site but not this lifestyle or the dark side of the internet. I'll message here if you want to talk to build you up though. And if you end up figuring out chat is AMAZING and you see a real benefit to things... I might follow along. Always happy to help, even if I'm not very useful ???

Lol you are super safe, I admit I should probably try even harder than I am now to keep myself anonymous. I also appreciate your offer and will definitely keep chatting on this until my time comes XD I would love to help make the chat more active and alive than it is now.

Yeah. I'm also kind of dubious about what I've got to offer over there... If I'm not going to benefit the group as a whole, I don't really need to be over there. I've got a few stories and a couple experiences, but that can be posted here. I've got plenty of opinions and I tend to keep things on a very chill tone... But other than that, I don't know that chat is a good fit for me vs the forums where people can reply at their convenience.

Ah see Im really into the instant response part of the chat and sometimes don't like how slow the forum posts can be XD but I do get liking the slower pased forum system where messages can't be lost quite as easily

You bring up really good points.
The chat service definitely feels very secure.
I would suggest anyone reading this post takes what you just said into consideration.

People will still randomly disappear on you in the instant chats too sometimes lol

I'm much prefer telegram for my instant gratification chats I have more control over who's in there the content posted and subject matter as an admin in several groups and owner of several more

I've never tried telegram but I know a lot of people use it. Does it have group chats or is it for more personal one on one conversations

Oh... Yeah... Hadn't thought far enough ahead to the instant gratification side of things. I'm more trying to find real life experience, but it's... well y'all know. There's not really a discrete way to bring any of this up, with the exception of maybe a joke with hidden innuendo and looking for that spark of recognition. Can't exactly go have business cards printed and drop them randomly, either. How good would it be if we could figure that one out?

Lil fliers for pet stores and vet offices...
Has your knotty boy been nice? ???

Are there enough users that instant chat is usually not difficult finding people on?

Honestly the chat over time has had a little more chatter than before. Most times when anyone can sign up it's been 60% lurkers or ones that make an account and vanish. Many were just coming in just for hooking up and that itself leaves it to be dead. Because if they can't find anyone, they'll just leave the chat.
Most times it's been pretty active. With our chat, there's no emails needed just a username and password. If anyone wanted to setup encryption, they have the option to in their account settings. DMing is automatically encrypted, and rooms can be encrypted if the room owner makes it.

What some have gotten confused is some are making accounts on other matrix servers and when I went undercover over there it was 100% dead. Then may be a few months later the rooms get removed. This is also why we have our own server, and a huge guide that I suck at making small on how to connect to ours, after you have an account. Other things happened that started the manual sign ups like anti's flooding the chat, pedos coming in to share their content, and many other things.

I spend more time in the chat than on the forum, personally I prefer the chat as it feels more direct. Sometimes it can be a little quiet, but it's really nice when the chat is more active. I love it! ^^

Those are ALL very informative and helpful tips/hints and answers that help me. Thank you. I really like how the whole vibe here is a community seeking to help and share knowledge, answer questions people can't just bring up in conversation. I'm going to take this all into account and I'll probably go give it a shot and see if it ends up being mutually beneficial to the group overall. Maybe there's something over there that I'm not considering, or the overall function/speed will appeal to me more than I'm guessing from the outside looking in.

Random question because you're the one that'd know... I don't see any options as far as removing or deleting anything posted in the threads. I'm very careful, but someone at one point or another might post too much personal info or have second thoughts about something... Is there a delete/edit feature I'm missing?

I'm having issues related to this. I want to be more involved on the forum but want my name changed as it is possibly recognizable. I have repeatedly asked for my account to be deleted so I can start over because there is no option to change my name or delete a comment that I've decided was a bit to personal. I can't get anyone to help me.

I've looked around a bit and saw where you posted similar threads. Only thing I could do was report your comments with my description being "accidental use of real info on account is against rules, suggest allowing edit or deleting so they can start over." I hope it helps, wouldn't want anything keeping you from feeling free to post as much and as often as you feel comfortable. Pretty sure this is a dumb question, but did you actually message the account on the thread you've posted to for deletion? If not, try that... If you have, give it a little time. I'm sure there are a lot of people being taken care of by only a few moderators/staff members. This also isn't exactly a paid site, just a collective put together by people with a passion... They've most likely all got full time jobs and probably take care of things here when they get a chance to.

Did it work out for you?

If you're inquiring about my motives behind the question... Just ask, there's a very valid reason that's deeper than get profile getting locked out. If you're trying to insult my intelligence by being smug and condescending... Try reading further up and we'll see if you can put 2 and 2 together on your own without me hitting the equal button for ya, lil buddy.
