I don't think animals always follow the hierarchy but they generally do. If she responds well, cool.

One thing I would worry about is that animals associate how they feel with what actions immediately came before it. If you start having sex with her and she feels bad because of the lightening, she might associate those bad feelings with the action of having sex.
