So I've been using my phone (Pixel 3) to store zoo-related materials, since it's convenient and can be opened privately. I specifically use the built-in "safe folder" with a different pass code than the main unlock. However, files stored in that app can only be opened with the media player built into the files app, which is unable to play practically anything but .mp4 files (for videos). A lot of content here is uploaded in .mov or other formats, which means they cannot be viewed while residing safely in that locked folder.
Does anyone know of perhaps another encrypted folder app that works with various media formats? I've tried finding a way to let other apps open files in the android safe folder but haven't had any luck. I also don't believe it's simple to re-render videos in other formats on mobile devices since the hardware is so limited, but perhaps I'm wrong there.
