I ordered some food recently and the other customers were loud/impatient and i said was "its not like they are doing this on purpose" after a while i checked up on my order and she got me the food herself. I looked into my food bag and got triple my order. ? that was very woah. I am thankful somebody made a meaningful mistake for my kindness ?☺
 
I cant speak for all food places but at the one i worked at we genuinely tried to do our best. Even when customers were being difficult. For me personally i feel stressed at the pressure to do my best for them but thankfully ive only ever gotten a couple bad people out of a whole bunch
 
I’ve been in the customer service industry for ages. It’s one of the worst but can be rewarding at times. I would always hook up everyone and especially if they said something nice like you did @Reconscope

Also, if I have the opportunity to tip I always give more than 20%

5 bucks or more depending on how much the total is. Especially delivery drivers. I been there before and some people never ever tipped.
 
There's really no sense in getting mad over something so small, yes some people don't care but plenty in the food industry take pride in their work and making people happy.

I don't think those people, made a mistake. They gave you extra for being nice to them while everyone else was being impatient. A reward for kind empathy in a sea of despair.

I only wish more in the world were like that. Good on you for not being part of the freakout group. @Reconscope
