How does a dog behave once mating is done? It doesn't matter how he behaves when we are alone, but what precautions i should take when I and my dog are with other people ( parents at home mostly)

It is individual. Your dog might attempt to initiate sex with someone else or he might not. It depends also on how horny he is and whether he thinks other people might be available for sex as well.
My dog generally does not try to hump other people unless he is very horny which usually takes a few days and even then he goes for me and if I refuse him he might get frustrated enough to try someone else.
If you want to prevent this behavior, keep your dog sexually satisfied by jerking him off with a frequency that keeps him from being too horny.
But if you are the only person who is having sex with him, the likelihood of him thinking other people are available is lower.

Also teach the people who he might want to hump to deal with this behavior. Dogs do sometimes do this for various reasons and the appropriate reaction if the person does not like it is to take the dog off yourself and stand up or remove yourself from the situation. No yelling, no beating, no scolding, get up go away.

I do not exactly know what you mean so:
1. If the knot inflates too much in the sheath it is ok. The sheath can take it, but taking the inflated knot out of the sheath is painful. So if you mess up and do not manage to get the penis out in time, wait for the erection to fade and try again later.
2. Knotting with humans does not happen very often. Knotting requires a special ring muscle in the vagina that holds the knot. Humans are not equipped with this accessory.
The only thing similar to this muscle a female dog has is the human anal sphincter which is still usually too weak to hold a knot.
So very often you will see a fully inflated knot slip out of a human vagina with basically no effort at all. Knotting in humans pretty much only happens when there is a larger size difference between the knot and the vagina. Large dog - tight human equipment.

1- It'll be more attentive or looking at you, this doesn't mean he'll be specifically protective/horny/etc, but you'll notice it'll be start looking or paying more attention to you that the usual one.

2- If you follow certain patterns of where you have sex, your companion will try to be interested into engaging if the same environment/context is met, so it's usually a good habit to only have sex when certain stuff are around so the dog can relate them, as certain clothing, or not clothes at all, a certain place, using socks on paws, etc.

3- the bond will be closer, this meaning the dog may be more affectionate to you or to become more tender and loving towards you
