Are Mating Insects Allowed?

I keep Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, and to avoid stress in the main tank I have a separate tub where I house my excess males. Well, they're getting it on in there quite regularly throughout the night and I was curious if anyone would be interested in it, but I also saw in the rules that content involving insects aren't allowed. Does that include bugs going about their natural business? I think it's quite interesting how amorous this species is.

I guess I can like understand tiny insects that could get hurt but what about something like this? Please don't banhammer me, just asking if there is some kind of grey area.

i'm not a mod, but i'm pretty sure the rule means "anything involving human and insects" like having them crawl on your genitalia or inserting them in it. natural "insects with insects" probably falls under animal mating....

*blinks several times in wonder* Although I find this query interesting I think I'll pass on watching insect on insect 'porn'. I tend to go out of my way to swat breeding flies when I'm able...

Cool! I'm thinking about putting together a video of my findings on their behavior, though I know nothing about editing so who knows, haha. Figured I'd share it here if I do in case anybody's into it, I've found very little video documentation of their mating habits!

Absolutely! I've read some horrifying things on insect mating o__o
But thankfully these guys are very chill! There is actually no penetration involved for this species, which is pretty interesting. Even aggressive behavior between males is made up of butt wiggling and pushing each other off whatever rock or branch they're fighting over, lol!

Haha I feel you, I hate flies!! If I post anything of these little buggers (pun intended) I will make the title obvious so (probably most) people can avoid it ?
