Are dogs required to be spayed or neutered when they are adopted in the United States?

I’m Thinking of moving to the U.S.A. By the end of the year and I’m so eager to adopt a beautiful puppy but I don’t know so many things about how your country handles this kind of situations, I looked on the internet and every page I found about adoptions require dogs to be spayed, is it like a law? And will vets report it if your dog isn’t spayed ?

My las question is, is it safe to be on this website on your phone in the U.S. ?
I just don’t wanna get in any trouble
I’d like to get as many opinions as possible. Thank you guys.

You make it less safe by posting unnecessary photos of yourself which you probably assume to be sexy or something like that.
There are many discussions on spaying/neutering on the forum search for it.

Your phone is an inherently insecure device and may be even less secure if you use face id or a fingerprint.
Let alone the fact that you have no control and no way of completely removed downloaded content from the phone without a complete wipe (and several of those). Do not use your phone for illegal stuff at all.
Your phone will be confiscated first if you ever get into trouble.

Ok so how was that photo relevant to this discussion? Do you include your "sexy selfies" when you order food or pay the bills? :D

Ma’am /Sir. I think you made very clear in your first comment that my very sexy photo wasn’t necessary and I even admitted it, so ? what’s your point ? ?✨

Regarding animal adoptions, most states require nonprofit rescues (those who are nonprofit and identify as 501(c)(3) to spay/neuter any animal that is at least six months old. This is a state law, not a federal law. Most states publish their Administrative Code online and this is where you'll find details.

I volunteered with a rescue for 15 years, and when we adopted out younger animals, we would usually include the spay/neuter charge as part of the adoption fee as we had to file spay/neuter certificates for all adopted animals. (Also, our charges would be MUCH less than if the adoptor paid, as we qualified for discounts at several clinics and vet offices.)

One option you might consider: getting your pup a vasectomy instead of a full neuter. (State codes are worried about reproduction, not leg-humping; they're trying to reduce/eliminate euthanasia of unwanted animals.) Recently I've read articles about neutered dogs developing physical problems because of lack of testosterone. They were successfully treated with testosterone injections.

Apologies if I have gone on for too long, but I tend to over-analyze a lot.

I appreciate very much you took the time to write all of this.
It is very helpful for me to get as much information as possible. You’re very kind ?

Thanks!!

In my experience during my visits there, about 90% of the country is very big on it, as it should be. The amount of strays and back yard breeding they have could compete with third world countries.

You could always look into buying/rehoming from a previous owner...or raising a puppy and just not fixing him/her.
also I think zoopornis legal nationwide here, as long as its not "obscene" for possession/viewing....racticing is a misdemeanor in most states, there are a few with no laws/its legal. some are even a felony....as long as you keep it a secret though, how will the cops find out??

This is just as true for the PC you are using. If you delete anything off your PC, you aren't really deleting it, you are just removing the pointer that references it and adding it into the queue of available space. The information is still there. The only way to actually know that something is no longer on your hard drive is also to do a complete wipe by formatting with a zero fill.

Not entirely true.
For example linux has a "shred" command that removes and rewrites (several times) a single file you want to wipe without wiping the entire disk. And there are methods of using a linux distro like Tails that does not use a hard drive at all, runs in RAM and looses any information stored temporarily about 120 s after you turn off the computer.

That's just a zero fill for a specific section of a hard drive, and a high-end user function, so it is exactly the same IMO, and while it's not the entire hard drives you are effective "wiping" a section of it multiple times just like you said a phone user would have to do. I would bet someone who is a high-end android user can probably add the same functionality to their phone.

I doubt anyone who is unaware of what you pointed out would also fall into the catagory of high-end user though, so it just comes off a bit as fear mongering to me, no offense meant.

At the end of the day visiting this site isn't illigal and possession of bestiality porn isn't a crime. The only people that should be worried about possible legal action would be people distributing bestiality content they made themselves, and then we are talking about a lot more security measures than just clearing a hard drive partition.

it all depends on where you get the dog.If you get it from a person directly? Another owner or craigslist or a breeder most of the time they are NOT spayed. If you get it from a shelter or adoption agency they WILL be spayed or they will make you sig paperwork saying you will spay later.
I look on craigslist a lot and there are HUNDREDS of intact dogs looking for new homes.
