I've never even been alone with a horse. I just want to brush them. Clean up after them, feed and water them. Maybe walk with one through a field . I don't know if I could cross that sexual line with them. Sure I'd be thinking about it , but I think being friends with one would be just as rewarding.
I've met a couple, because I'm pretty introverted I just stood at the fence and waited for them to come over. Probably helped the owner was right behind me with a bucket of veggies. Next thing I knew there was a massive horse face right next to mine. He did the "ssshhhh" with his nose right on my neck .
Slowly I patted his face and said hello. It was like time stopped for a minute. When It was time to go I started to walk backwards. He just walked right through the fence to follow me . Broke the whole fence. The owner and helper were suddenly laughing and saying "whoa whoa whoaa"
I helped put the slats of the fence back together as they steadied him. As we walked away he ran up and down the fence line whining.
The owner commented that he's never done that before and that he must really like me.
That was it. My only time being close to a horse.

Goosebumps just thinking about him. He was a breeding stud so he was probably just lonely being in that pasture by himself. Either that or he's a player and he does that with everyone. But of course I'd like to think he saw how calm I am and decided he wanted to know me better.
