Anyone play vrchat?

How it works? Do I have to make a 3D avatar or choose from some ready-made ones? Then with servers like in normal chats?

There are ready-made and public avatars you can use, or you can create your own and upload it to use

I found it really interesting!
I checked ebay, there are all sorts of different models of vr headsets, priced from £15 to over £300. The cheapest ones can only be used with a mobile phone inserted inside, I guess they don't work for me. There are models for Nintendo, and ones with hand controllers. I'm not sure what model I should buy, could you explain in a bit more detail?

I do have one of those, but it was discontinued a couple years after I got it, so it never worked. I'd suggest getting one of the more expensive ones which are least you know will work for definite. Also, I have one with controllers, you'll need them to play VRChat

Just purchased my vr headset. Now I have to wait one week for delivery.

I recently bought VR goggles for this exact purpose, however very soon after the installation I got a headache. I don't use them at all, turned them off and so they sit in a drawer.

Headaches are a common symptom of VR motion sickness. You might try Dramamine to prevent or relieve VR sickness.
