Anyone heard of Maja smrekar?

I just checked out her website and she seems really cool. I am certainly going to be reading through her material. Thanks, for bringing her up for I had never heard of her. :geek::coffee:(y)

Two questions come to mind.
Is human milk safe for dogs?
Is hybridization even a thing? I thought species are defined by the fact that they are genetically incompatible with other species.

"Maja Smrekar's (SI) work has been established in the international art and science milieu. Grounded in sculpture and contemporary arts, her practice has allowed her to lead collaborations in developing cross-conceptual productions that include performances, installations, site-specific art, drawings, videos, sound, workshops, lectures, talks, and texts."

Never mind, just checked her website, she is not a scientist, she is an artist. :D So her "research" into breastfeeding and hybridization is most likely going to be bullshit mostly made for clicks.

Wow, you're very astute. *Starts slow clap*

To answer @pes question, no, human breast milk does not have enough amino-acids to meet a canine's protein requirements. Seeing how cats have a much higher protein requirement than a dog, the concept of breastfeeding a pup or kitten to full development is out of the question. I know for a fact that they sell cat's milk in pet stores for this very reason. I think that you might be able to use cow's milk from the dairy section at a grocery store to ween a pup, but I am not for certain. I have never heard of dog's milk being sold at pet stores.

Looks like pseudo-babble to me. Andy Warhol with dogs. Very Avant-garde and all that, but ultimately, art, not more than that. Great if you're into that kind of thing, useless if you're not.

You're all acting like you're gonna write a dissertation on her. Who gives a damn about the validity or authenticity of her "research?" Why can't we just enjoy the fact that she was willing to break barriers and delve into the unorthodox with her dogs?
