Anyone else getting a ton of messages from fake people?

Hi! I've been here a while and have talked to a couple good folks who seem legit. I haven't met anyone in person - most people I talk to that are real are outside of my region or we just aren't looking for the same things. Recently however, I've gotten a slew of requests from people who are obviously fake. Is anyone else experiencing this? Maybe it's something I'm doing wrong? For example, I just got a request from a guy with a photo yesterday who referenced where I live and told me he lives in my region (city in the US). I didn't respond because the account had recently been created and the message seemed a little sketchy for whatever reason. Today, the photo has been taken down and the country of origin is Estonia. That's just one example, but it happens on the regular. Does anyone have insight about this or maybe advice?

Edit: This happens to me a few times a week during times I'm actively participating on the forums.

Are you openly known to be a female here? That would explain a lot since the majority of users here just want to stalk women. I am a male and this never happened to me.
The only thing I can tell you is to block them and report shady accounts to the admins.

Yeeeah... I didn't have an issue with it until relatively recently. I know there are a fair amount of other women here. Also, I felt weird about reporting shady accounts - I'd hate to report someone who is being truthful by accident - but, you're right in that it's likely best practice. Anyway, I will take that advice! Thanks and much appreciated :)
 
I had someone on beast chat act very fake and strang saying some off the wall stuff and immediately finger quote showed me a picture of them. Which I pretty dipped out once they showed me the supposed picture of them. This was waaaay back, but it was odd.
 
I'd hate to say it but that doesn't sound like something that isn't totally unusual here. Lots of strange people come on here, and one tell-tale sign is if the account is almost new or is new. Best thing to do is what @pes said.
 
Not loads but i've had a few. One user messaged me back in January, then went innactive. Profile from presumably the same person messages me a month later, I say hi and ask if they remade their account, then that account goes innactive a day later. Now they have a third account and havent messaged me. Weirdly all three accounts were active on the forums as if they were just a regular user.

Last week I had someone message me asking to chat on a secure messaging app, which I added them on to chat, and beyond saying hello they made zero effort to chat about anything, so I just deleted them from it. Why message me as if you're trying to invite me into a cult and then say nothing?. Their username and pictures showed up on a Eroprofile account from 6 years ago so it was either someone who doesn't like taking nudes very often or a fake using the same name as the account they stole the pictures from.
 
Ignor most with the title "Lurker" also people that start with " Show me your tits, show me your pussy, show me your dogs, show me your dogs cock, show me you sucking your dogs cock...ect" But this is a site geared toward an intensely "mature" subject so I would guess one should expect a certain amount of pestering.

Not a girl myself. But had messages from guys who thought I was one due to my avatar I guess

And some of those guys weren't lurkers (i.e they are active on the forum with messages, and seem genuine). But so the chat starts off normally, then 'usually' on message 3 I get a picture of doggy dicks out of the blue :LOL:. And tbf, the moment I say 'by the way, I'm not a girl' the chat immediately dies. Not even get a reply, I guess they just move onto the next girl they can find to send a nude pic to. Psst... it's not like we have a porn section for that or anything... tutt tutt

But yeah, fortunately, I have spoken to both guys and girls here who are genuine and nice people. Although, on a forum like this, you're always going to attract some questionable people

This is very true and I agree, I always try to be nice and chatty with an open invitation for content sharing but if someone wants to get more personal that's up to them and I dont pester after. There's a fine line between trying to spark up mutually beneficial friendships and being a creep.
 
Some of these people will talk to you all night and then vanish. I miss Aussiemum.
 
I think whether male or female we are all as likely to get catfished. Someone here (won't mention names) wanted to chat via whatsapp so I said fine and straight away sent pics vids all without asking which I found suspicious then failed to verify. Shame there is no way to verify peoples accounts here.

I was hoping that with the restrictions to get in here it would weed out some of those without manners.

The ones without manners will never go away. If they don’t take time to know you without demands, be cautious.
