I've pretty much always been alone and it's getting pretty depressing. And chatting with people online isn't helping anymore
Any tips for getting over soul crushing loneliness?

Get out there and meet people? The more people you meet, the more likely you will find people who you want to spend time with. It's not good to live in isolation, humans are social creatures.

agreed. make friends with people enough online and close enough for you to meet in person! its takes time but youll find yourself a little less lonely each time. some people go through bouts of loneliness, its natural.

Do you have any special interests? Like hiking, music, archery, painting... if you do, go to a hobby group and attend it weekly, talk to others, it'll happen!
If you have no special interests at all, then check out your local community and just pick up a hobby to join there, you'll get something new to do and get to be social! Where I live, the muncipalities, counties, whatever - they offer a list of hobbies seasonally and one can just join. They are either free or cost a yearly or seasonal price.
