Generally speaking those on the spectrum tend to be more adept and comfortable with forming bonds with animals than with other humans. So from the standpoint of the proper definition of zoophile as "animal lover", someone more comfortable with relating to animals than humans would be considered an "animal lover", but that doesn't automatically lead to the narrow minded public view of zoos as purely "animal fuckers".I read an article once that said zoo-sexuality was more common among us but I’ll if it’s true or not
Well considering zoophilia is my special interest perhaps ?
(Jk I’m undiagnosed cuz I’m too lazy to follow up on the 70 billion referrals psychs give me. Even though I literally never follow up.)
So according to *some* of the comments I’m nt as of late! Though I geuss my meltdown from cleaning my room today was just quirkiness!
Your first paragraph is spot on.Aside from the Kids born prior to about 1965, when these inabilities were named and accepted problems, diagnostics are available and relatively simple. Treatments, not so much, obviously. Some will grow out of the related issues. I think it still leaves marks, but as an adult, most people wouldnt notice.
What I HAVE noticed, though, is people with genuine diagnoses get really pissed off at people who make the claim without proof...And they have a right to.
*Yells at people for not being able to diagnose themselves.*Your first paragraph is spot on.
If I were a parent of a child with one of those conditions, I'm afraid I would lose it with one of these snowflakes faking it, and using it for...WHATEVER insensitive reason they are.
May I have the study lol? If you have it.Im on the spectrum ? I read an article once that said zoo-sexuality was more common among us but I’ll if it’s true or not
Arrogance....not just for breakfast anymore, eh?*Yells at people for not being able to diagnose themselves.*
*Believes they have the knowledge to diagnose someone with faking.*
Icon!
What? Is this directed at me or them? And wtf does this mean?Arrogance....not just for breakfast anymore, eh?
Thank you for explaining. It means, simply, that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. After nearly 70 years of observation, I've noticed that people have two ways of looking at a problem. Viewed as a disability, or a handicap, issues generate arrogance, more often than not. Viewed as a challenge, issues generate skills, and sometimes new abilities. But the statement I made wasnt THAT deep.
Well I self reported as not being diagnosed but still saying I have autism. So they have *some* basis.Guess you’re omnipotent and have access to everyone’s medical records or something
Did I say that? No, I did not say that. Why do you assume none of these people have been tested or assessed?
I know, no laughing matter, but the phrasing didn't just tickle my funny-bone, it mashed it repeatedly with an 8 pound sledgehammer. These days it seems like some folks, if they dont have it, will get it for you.....
Again, you're saying I said something I did not. Keep going.Guess you’re omnipotent and have access to everyone’s medical records or something
Actually, smart-ass, it's pretty damned easy to tell when someone is faking their so-called "problem". Especially when you're someone who DOES have the problem they're LARPing. "Knowledge from living on the inside" trumps *EVERYTHING* that the book or the movie might have to say on the topic.*Yells at people for not being able to diagnose themselves.*
*Believes they have the knowledge to diagnose someone with faking.*

Who needs that, when they LIVE WITH ACTUALLY HAVING THE CONDITION on a daily basis? Those who are especially hard hit stand out like a dick growing off the end of your nose to most. Those of us who aren't as bad off are harder to spot, but the signs are there to be recognized and read - ESPECIALLY by others who have been living it, rather than reading about it and pretending they've got it.Guess you’re omnipotent and have access to everyone’s medical records or something
Why? "Cool" has driven a lot of social change, artistic change, and other stuff since the late forties, at least. Dean and McQueen weren't symptoms, friend. They were drivers.Never been on board with the self-diagnosis crew but the idea that people are trying to be cool is ludicrous
Ahhh...YOU're easy, pardner....amusing these othrr folks all day is a JOB!I know, no laughing matter, but the phrasing didn't just tickle my funny-bone, it mashed it repeatedly with an 8 pound sledgehammer.
Guess you're having reading issues, Dads....putting your words in other mouths is NOT cool.Guess you’re omnipotent and have access to everyone’s medical records or something
You think so, huh? Then why the recent astronomical upsurge in people who claim to be "autisitc"/"Asperger's"/"On the spectrum"? What *POSSIBLE* purpose beyond the whole "pity me, I'm broken!" play to get in with one group or another can explain it?Never been on board with the self-diagnosis crew but the idea that people are trying to be cool is ludicrous
