animals and knowing

i just wanted to talk about this topic because i was thinking about it a lot yesterday. does anyone else feel like animals can recognize that you are a zoo? for me personally i feel like it’s canines. like whenever i meet a new pup i always feel like they can read me and feel that i’m different in the zooey sense. for example my neighbors dog barks at literally everything and everyone she cannot stand most people. before i approached her she used to bark at me too, but since i walked by her the other day while she was outside and just said hi from afar and she hasn’t barked at me since. she just stares at me very inquisitively now. i feel like animals eyes say a lot. like they can just recognize our energy. i’ve always felt like this, especially with animals that “don’t get along with people” always get along with me. i’ve never had a bad experience with animals. does anyone else feel like this? what are you experiences where you felt connected to animals?

I think they can sense something. There's a dog I had at one point with roommates, and she wasn't too into others playing with her, may be a little bit and preferred me. I think a couple of other dogs I've been around they warmed up much faster around me compared to others.

Yes. I was talking to a random person who had a dog and I’ve always squatted down to pet them. The person had a girl dog who was in heat at the time and when I squatted down she backed her ass up into me. Maybe she just wanted her butt scratched but when I stood up and walked around and came back to squat back down she about shoved me on my butt and stood there looking over her shoulder at me.

i feel the same way! dogs always warm up to me faster too. i figured they can just tell a difference with us

I think it not about telling you are a zoo. Because most animals in general will not know sex with a human is an option.
In my opinion it is about you showing proper signs of being a dog person. Body language, the way you talk to them... they recognize you as friendly.

Getting near in a calmed, friendly way, not trying to control or fear goes a long way.

And of course, if you friended a LOT of dogs, you, unknowingly, already learned how to act and move to make yourself look reliable.

They sense it, but probably not the sex, but other qualities that have developed because you have dogs and know them well.
I experience the same thing, we get along very well with female dogs. Some people call me the dog whisperer because of it.

seconding this, i was asked if i am "a dog whisperer" on a few occasions. i don't think it's because they sense i'm a possible fuck or whatever. i think it's my attraction that makes me seem approachable and calm. not the attraction directly, but something more out of my control like body language.

Ok I get all the points made here. It's to a point based on how they can sense our fondness for animals. Friendliness. Absolutely. We don't have magical human pheromones others lack, obviously but bare with me when it comes to the sexual side of things. Dogs have an excellent sense of smell. That particular sense is how they interact with the world and determine information from their surroundings. Let's say you had just had sex with a dog earlier that day or even a few days before, remember that sex itself has a distinct smell. Especially a dogs genital area. Male or female, in heat or not, It is ALOT different from our own. They would by "theory" be able to smell it on your nether regions. Right? And that could lead to arousal or them being more curious about you than a non zoo at the very least. I've had many animals who I never even made a move on before try to get friendly with me. In a leg humping clearly turned on way. Accompanied by flirtatious behaviors. These were times I didn't own a female. Just a male. This would explain that particular reaction. They are smelling the nether regions of another dog is on your nether regions.. That smell isn't on anyone else they know. Normally. Considering what we know about the biology of canines. This theory holds up until its concretely proven wrong ?

I am experiencing the same thing with dogs being friendly to me.
And I suspect it has something to do with the bag of juicy dog treats that I almost always have on my belt.
Because they seem to immediately know where it is the moment we get close.
