AI is actually really good for some things

Local and offline AI of course. Just because it lets people like us really get some fantasy roleplay out of our system without any anxiety.

Also the image generation part is even better albeit a little more complicated and tedious than a freeflowing story RP.

From all AI story examples I have read one thing always stood out.
It has no idea what it is talking about and therefore it does not respect anatomy and makes mistakes a human would not make.

I foresee more people will be deluding themselves with cyber relationships and stall having true emotional connections with another living being.

Because you can't prove it's me if I post stuff, it could just be AI right?
It will cause more people looking for the actual stuff instead of the fake stuff.
Now it is new and shiny and everyone loves it.
But once it becomes ever present, it will stop being so interesting.

At present you can already tell that 95% of AI generated porn looks almost the same. It is already kinda boring.

Yeah but it's getting better all the time!

For some people AI generated porn will be enough and that is fine.
For me it sometimes makes nice yiff. But it will never be able to replace an actual dog.

Text generation would be interesting for me in one specific case which is not story writing.

I am a writer and AI generated stories have not persuaded me yet. Even if they get better, you will get a result that an algorithm made for you while you put minimal effort into it.
It can not replace the satisfaction I get from spending months crafting a world and characters in it and a story within it. Characters I practically fall in love with over time, develop feelings for so I can then accurately imagine and describe them and their actions.
It may be good for someone trying to quickly jerk one out, but there is no deeper connection behind it.

I get it but it really depends on the model and how good you are at prompting it. Thats actually getting more and more difficult. Also the censorship is what kills the usabilty of most models for our usecase so its key to use a uncensored version.

Where's the art? The sweat and time artiest put in to every facet of of there work, hours of time to create art. There is no comparison AI has been feed other peoples hard work, a theft of peoples heart and soul that is AI.

To be fair, It's not stealing anything if it's not being used to make money. That's called fair use, and of course some people do use it that way, but it's their fault alone as their the one's who use it to get money.

Actually it is theft I permission for personal use, not for big corporations to feed it into there AI systems, so they can sell there there AI software To people. It cost me time and money to create my art. I make no money off of my art then why do big corporations think they can take what they want from the artist without compensating everyone that has worked so hard on it.

^^^^ this tbh

as someone who loves the arts, people subsituting ACTUAL art for soulless machine made stuff is really disturbing to me. it's got no value when you're using it to replace the original thing

but i will admit that as a tool i think it could be really good. the "angel engine" series on instagram is all ai, but that's when it's used with the purpose of being weird and unsettling and purposefully soulless

i'd rather see zoos fully able to embrace their lifestyle instead of just... mixing their material up with ai... we have too many LARPers as it is so i'd be against having any more hehe

AI chat bots are interesting but they don't seem to have decent memory, they forget things previously discussed or parts of the story already told rapidly. They also have a really limited ability to extemporize, so what you put in is what you get out, and it's often garbled.
